Leadership of Curriculum

Niamh Forrest - Secondary

Whilst in the past she has been a leader of various subject areas and the KS3 curriculum, Niamh is currently the Raising Standards Leader.  This involves leading teams of colleagues who are responsible for measuring progress on the one hand whilst the other ensures that strategies are put in place to enable individuals to achieve.  Niamh is also the leader of science and humanities teams; developing a team ethos, driving forward teaching and learning standards, and raising attainment.  Moving forward has involved offering support, developing resources and working with local colleagues as well as providing courses to suit differentiated student needs and assessment processes in each key stage.  She coaches staff to drive forward improvement and personalises the curriculum to improve results. Niamh’s current work also includes supporting the professional development of staff using action research and improving impact analysis systems for self-evaluation.

Jon Morgan - Secondary

Jon leads the curriculum and has responsibility for creating an innovative offer which can ensure all students in a diverse school community have the opportunity to achieve their best in both academic and vocational areas. He can offer support and advice in a range of areas including data tracking towards key performance measures and intervention approaches, exploring various vocational opportunities, timetabling, and subject evaluation processes. He is also a Music teacher of 17 years experience with significant expertise in driving the development of the Musical Futures principles in schools at a local, regional and national level over the years.
